Wow, what a ride it’s been at this year’s Dakar Rally! We’re still buzzing from the excitement and pride of seeing our brand ambassador, Jan Brabec, conquering one of the toughest races on the planet. 

The Dakar Rally is universally accepted as one of the toughest and most gruelling races in the world. This year’s rally took place in Saudi Arabia from January 5-19th. With a total of 7’891 km divided into 12 grueling stages, it is true test of the body and mind. Jan’s 7th appearance in the Dakar Rally was about more than just racing; it was a story of human endurance and spirit. 

Jan battled a fever and joint pain for several days but remained focused and found the inner strength to battle on. He pushed hard for thousands of kilometres in the merciless desert finishing 27th overall! He is the embodiment of what GR1T stands for – resilience, passion, and pushing beyond limits. 

We are honoured that Jan Brabec chose to represent GR1T Motorcycles at the Dakar Rally. His performance under challenging conditions is a testament to the strength and tenacity that we, at GR1T, admire and strive to embody in our products and values. Seeing Jan with the GR1T logo on his racing jacket and bike, powering through each stage, was nothing short of inspirational. He races on a motorcycle with a combustion engine but chose to support an electric motorcycle company because of his conviction in our bikes. It reminds us why we do what we do at GR1T Motorcycles. It’s not just about building electric motorcycles; it’s about building products of the highest quality and having the courage to face the toughest challenges head-on.

The motorcycle market is highly competitive, and it is difficult for a startup to stand out. We want our customers to ride the best bike out there, whether it’s off-road or on the street. Having a world-class rider like Jan vouching for our brand, and wearing our logo at such a prestigious event, is proof of the high-quality of our motorcycles. 

We extend our gratitude to Jan for his exceptional effort and to the Dakar Rally organizers for an incredible event.
